University Courses – Tuition Fee Waiver Program
CPM Employees that work more than 24 hours per week (and their dependents) are eligible for the Tuition Fee Waiver Program. This means you can submit an application to have tuition fees for university courses you (or your dependents) waived. Read more on the Tuition Fee Waiver Program (use link above) and access the Tuition Fee Waiver Application (PDF) on yu link.
Not all courses offered at the University are eligible for tuition waiver. Certificates offered through the School of Continuing Studies and other regulated/professional courses/degrees are not covered (e.g. Schulich School of Business, Osgoode Hall Law School, Lassonde School of Engineering). If you’re unsure about the program you’re interested in, please check with Pension & Benefits to confirm inclusion in the program.
Please note – it is the University’s expectation that employees enroll in courses outside of normal work hours. If you require accommodation, please speak to your Manager.
Degree or non-Degree?
Applying as a non-degree student means you are taking courses that do not count towards a degree. A degree program is working towards a degree. For more information, visit the Registrar’s Office.
Returning York Student/York Alumni
As a former York student, you already have a York student number. Even though it may be inactive, your information is still on file. Simply Reactivate your student record so you can enroll in courses.
Keep an eye on your reactivation status through MyFile.
CPM Employees who did not previously attend York
Choose a program, review admission requirements, ensure your supporting documents are in order and apply. There is a $100 application fee that is non-refundable. Read additional information and apply to York.
You’ll be notified by email if you’ve been offered admission into the program of your choice. Be sure to log into MyFile to accept York’s Offer of Admission.
