YU Learn (Organization Learning & People Excellence)

A variety of learning opportunities are offered internally to CPMers with no cost attached. The department of Organization Learning and People Excellence, offers a variety of learning opportunities to help University employees grow and develop their skills. Some areas of available learning opportunities includes:

Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclulsion

The Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion (REI) offers workshops throughout the year to help the York community foster respect, equity, diversity, and inclusion. In addition to facilitating conversations about current human rights issues, some areas covered are: Accommodations, Employment Equity, Racial Inclusion, Preventing Sexual Harassment, and Creating Positive Space.

Participants who attend at least 3 sessions are eligible for a Certificate of Completion. To Register or for more information, please contact chrwkshp@yorku.ca.

Online Learning

CPM Employees should explore the online opportunities via  Alison.com and Lynda.com. Both programs are available at no cost. With hundreds of courses to choose from, both online platforms have become invaluable tools for employees to learn new software technologies and further develop their business skill sets all while affording them a more flexible “learn at your own pace” schedule.

And remember, successful completion of courses can be tracked on the Training Summary via HR Self Serve. There you will find instructions for tracking external courses as part of your professional development portfolio.
